Weekend of the Sequels

Weekend Rundown – Better Late than Never

I would have normally posted this earlier in the week, but it has been a crazy few days with a bunch of papers due for the middle of the semester. So, here is my weekend rundown.

Friday night Matt and I went out with one of my roommates and her friends. The night started out with The Game of Things, which was hilarious.

The Game of Things

One player will draw a card and everyone else will write down their answer to the card and the answers get shuffled together. The person that drew the card has to guess who said what. The funniest part of the game had to be the funny and sometimes slightly inappropriate answers. After The Game of Things we went out for a night of dancing. I wanted to put together something I’ve never worn before so I went with a sheer tight with a diamond pattern, black flats, shorts, a white t–shirt and a preppy checkered blazer.

Since Halloween is coming up Matt and I decided to watch some scary movies. We went to the movies Saturday and saw Paranormal Activity 3. For anyone that has seen this series it’s totally worth it to check this one out. I was on edge the entire time. I do this thing when I watch horror films where I cover one eye, I think I hope it will make me jump less. The movie uses a lot of the same scare techniques as the first two films and a few new really cool ones. Mainly one of the characters creates a camera stand from an oscillating fan and every time you see that shot you know something creepy is going to happen. It was definitely worth seeing and I was definitely freaked out.

I decided to wear a long maxi skirt, plain long sleeve white tee, knee high camel colored boots, a scarf and brought a blue sweater in for the movie. By the time we got out of the movie it was pretty chilly and I was really glad I brought the sweater.

We did a little walking around Boston and decided to rent some movies on the way back. Saturday night we stayed in and watched Scream 4, which I wasn’t impressed with. I love scary movies, but slasher films just don’t do it for me.

Sunday was another chill day. I caught up on Gossip Girl and Matt and I watched Transformers 3. It ended up being the weekend of the sequels. Matt drove home and I finished off my weekend with a 5 mile run. It’s starting to get dark really early and I will probably end up at the gym on the treadmill soon, I’m not a fan of running in the dark in the city.

How was everyone’s weekend?
